Launched in 1991 by French entrepreneur Maurice Cohen, the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) started life as a modest gathering with just a handful of yachts, an event designed to establish Port Hercules as a premium hub for yachting and the elite.

During the 1990s, the show quickly gained recognition and cemented its stand on the annual luxury lifestyle calendar. The MYS became a leading platform for shipyards to unveil their yachts and the ideal location for marine technology and equipment manufacturers to launch new products, network, and form strategic alliances.

Today, the Monaco Yacht Show is the go-to event for the superyacht industry. Attendees can explore the world’s most prestigious and luxurious vessels, meet key industry players, talk to superyacht captains, crew, and territory professionals, and gain valuable insights into trending destinations. The show has come a long way since its humble beginnings, and each year, it becomes more spectacular and impressive.

What to Expect From The 2024 Monaco Yacht Show

As the Monaco Yacht Show celebrates its 33rd year, the 2024 edition promises to be nothing short of spectacular. Over 120 luxury superyachts and more than 60 sleek tenders will be displayed this year, with around 40 new launches taking centre stage. With an average yacht length of 50 meters—some exceeding 100 meters—attendees can expect to see the world’s finest luxury yachts and vessels. Alongside these breathtaking yachts, the show will host top yacht designers, naval architects, equipment manufacturers, brokers, and industry experts, all renowned for their innovation and exceptional service standards.

The heart of the show will be at Port Hercules, where attendees can explore the Adventure Area, Dockside Area, Sustainability Hub, Sailing Yacht Area, and the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub. However, the action extends beyond the port to other prime locations around Monaco, including 360° Yachting’s presence at La Rascasse, a renowned venue overlooking the town.
